Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are essential oils that support many of the body’s systems. Although critical for good health, they are also very important if you are considering using prohormones. Before going straight into how EFAs help your prohormone cycle, let’s look at some of the benefits of EFAs in general:
Supply essential oils to the hair, nails, and skinHelp lubricate the jointsHelp maintain healthy cholesterol levelsHelp the body use fat as energy (help to reduce body fat)Help build muscle tissueReduce inflammationThe above list by itself may convince many of you to add Essential Fatty Acids to your regimen. But what about their effect on prohormones?
First of all, prohormones are fat soluble. That means in order to break down and absorb properly, they need to be in an environment that contains fat. Taking a couple of fish oil capsules with your prohormone is insurance that they will digest and absorb properly.
Secondly, prohormones, or any anabolic/androgenic hormones, can increase inflammation. Inflammation can be unhealthy and may even limit your muscle gains. Taking EFAs during your prohormone cycle will help mitigate some of this inflammation, which could in turn increase recovery and muscle growth, while also keeping inflammation and cholesterol levels down. It’s an awesome 1-2 punch that really makes a difference in your results.
Anyone looking to add muscle, get lean or be healthy should add Essential fatty Acids to their supplement regimen. If you are going to use prohormones it’s even more important, and you may be limiting your results without them.
The best EFAs on the market? My vote goes to Prograde EFA Icon. It’s high quality Krill oil which is higher in Omega 3 than fish oil and lower in contaminants. Check it out.
